Tips for Cleaning Laminate Flooring

These are Cherry carpets top tips for cleaning laminate flooring. A lot of families choose laminate for their flooring needs owing to its high durability and ease of cleaning. Laminate flooring has the power to resist the activities of kids, guests and pets and can be cleaned in a very simple manner. Here are some tips for making cleaning of these materials all the more convenient and effective.

Tips for Cleaning Laminate Flooring

Do not sweep:

Sweeping with a traditional broom is not good for your laminate floor. You are required to use a vacuum cleaner or a dry dust mop. If you use regular brooms, a number of particles will be left behind. Again with a wet mop, there is high possibility of scratches or pits on the floor’s surface, or particles getting spread throughout the floor. So, it is best to go for a vacuum cleaner, especially one with a hard floors setting or a brush roll button. Spray Mops are another great way to clean whilst avoiding sweeping.

Use a proper cleaner:

Going for a costly laminate floor cleaner is not an absolute necessity. Select a cleaner that is in line with your budget and the floor type. You may try homemade mopping solutions or even clean with simply a little bit of water. It is advisable not to use excessive amount of cleaner. Moreover, applying too much of soap is also not good since it may leave residue, that causes laminate floors to become dull.

Be careful while using liquids:

Liquids can penetrate inside the laminate boards causing them to get damaged through swelling. Do not go for excessive water or other liquids while cleaning the floors. Spray only a small portion of the floor with as much quantity of liquid as is required, so that the floor dries in a few minutes after mopping.

Rub to shine:

In order to make your floor shine to the maximum extent possible, you have to rub it dry. Make use of a mop head or an absorbent clean cloth. You can utilize materials like microfiber cleaning cloths or cloth diapers.

Tips for Cleaning Laminate Flooring – Provide due protection to the floor:

Making the floor look great will not help unless you do your bit to protect it. Properly place indoor and outdoor mats at the porticos. Also, ensure that nobody enters the house wearing shoes. Moreover, any kind of spills should be wiped off as soon as they occur. Large pieces of furniture might leave scratches on the floor so it is best to use furniture protectors.

Tips for Cleaning Laminate Flooring & where to go:

You can get a wide variety of flooring materials from reputable companies like Tiles Superstore. Buy your choice of laminate and clean it in the proper way following the above-mentioned tips.
