What’s the best floor for you kitchen?

When it comes to choosing the best flooring for a kitchen, there are several factors to consider. Durability, cost, and aesthetic are some of the main factors that need to be weighed.   For durability, one must consider the traffic and wear the floor will receive in a kitchen. Ultimately, the best flooring for a kitchen will depend on individual preferences, budget, and lifestyle. Each option has its own pros and cons, and it is important to weigh the available options before making a decision.

Why wood flooring is not good to have in the kitchen?

Wood is not a good choice of material to use in the kitchen, as it is highly susceptible to staining, warping, and absorbing moisture. Additionally, wood is a porous material, meaning it can absorb bacteria and other microbes, which can cause food-borne illnesses. Wood is more difficult to clean and maintain, and is not as durable as other materials such as stainless steel, ceramic, or stone. Wood also has a tendency to swell and shrink in response to changes in temperature and humidity, which can affect the performance of kitchen appliances. For these reasons, many kitchens opt for more durable and hygienic materials for the countertops, cabinets, and floors.

Why ceramic tiles are not a good choice of flooring?

Ceramic tile is a popular choice for flooring for many reasons, such as its durability, cost-effectiveness, and the variety of designs available. However, ceramic tiles can also have some drawbacks that make it less suitable for certain situations. The main disadvantage to ceramic tiles is that they are quite hard and can be uncomfortable to stand on for long periods of time. They are also prone to cracking, and they can be difficult to clean and maintain. Additionally, they can be quite slippery when wet, which can be hazardous. For these reasons, ceramic tile may not be the best choice for flooring in areas that require long periods of standing or in wet areas. Despite their attractive qualities, ceramic tiles have another major drawback – they can be quite cold to walk on. This is because ceramic tiles are not very good at trapping heat, so when you walk on them, the sensation can be quite chilly. Fortunately, there are a few ways to combat this problem. One solution is to install radiant floor heating beneath the tiles, which will warm them up significantly. You can also add a layer of insulation, such as an area rug, to the tiles to provide an extra buffer against the cold. Finally, if you are looking for a natural way to make your ceramic tiles more comfortable, consider adding a coat of wax or sealant, which will help to retain heat.

Why is Luxury Vinyl Tiles a great choice for flooring?

For a luxurious and stylish upgrade to your kitchen, consider installing luxury vinyl tiles (LVTs). LVTs come in a wide range of colours, designs, and textures, making it easy to find a look that complements your kitchen’s current décor.  LVTs are highly durable and can withstand everyday wear and tear, making them an ideal choice for kitchens. Not only are they incredibly easy to clean and maintain, they are also water-resistant and can handle spills with ease. They are also more affordable than other flooring types, making them a great investment for the long-term.  Installing LVTs in your kitchen is a relatively straightforward process. Depending on the size and layout of your kitchen, it may take a few hours to complete. Once the tiles are laid, you can seal them to make them even more durable and waterproof.  Overall, LVTs are an excellent choice for kitchen flooring, offering a stylish and luxurious look, as well as durability and affordability. With their easy-to-maintain surface and water-resistant qualities, LVTs are sure to last for many years to come.
